* creative * open * determined
Voilà, three words I would choose to describe myself.
Teaching has always been something I have been passionate about; some of my earliest memories are of playing teacher with my younger brother. This passion is not something that has dwindled with time, but rather, has become more focused and important to me than ever.
I first began teaching English as a second / foreign language (ESL) informally in Australia five years ago, whilst studying towards a degree in philosophy. It is something I began doing by accident, and without being conscious of it. However, I found so much satisfaction and joy in it, that I decided to pursue ESL teaching officially.
It is a “job” that constantly challenges me and I love using my creative talents to design engaging and enriching lesson-plans and activities. Human interaction and communication is hugely important to me, and this is a career which allows me to interact and engage with people everyday. In doing this “job” I am reminded on a daily basis, that I made the right choice.
